We recently purchased and brought into production another advanced mill turn center. Our second integrated 5 axis Mori Seiki NT4300 DCG is one of our most recent additions as we expand our multifunction machining capabilities and capacity at Hunt and Hunt Ltd. Key features of the NT4300 series integrated milling turning center include multiple technological advantages translating into speed and precision production for our customers. The multi-axis machining capabilities of the NT4300 NCG reduce the number of machining operations required, associated fixturing, and setup and tear down time, improving productivity. After completion of the first process, the workpiece can be swiftly delivered to the second spindle, making high-speed and high-precision continuous machining possible. MAPPS III for Integrated Mill Turn Centers has a full array of operability functions which help reduce programming and setup time. The control system also checks for interference in 3D space for all spindles, workpieces, tables, tools and fixtures, while machining is taking place. Since the machine will stop when interference is detected either in manual or in automatic mode, scrap and costly production delays are held to a minimum.
